In this captivating story, Dorante, a ruined young man from a good family, secretly loves the rich and pretty widow Araminte. But she is about to marry an old count again. With the help of his former valet Dubois, he enlists his services as her steward and devises stratagems to win her over. But will he be able to achieve his goal through false words?

Alain Françon, maestro of contemporary theater and winner of three Molières, has lit up stages the world over with his ability to infuse every play he directs with emotional depth and rare accuracy. For this new production, he has assembled a fine cast including Dominique Valadié, Gilles Privat and Pierre-François Garel...

In Les fausses confidences, he adapts an emblematic work in which love mingles with intrigue and manipulation. It's a play that also resonates with the weight of social conventions between the nobility and the Third Estate, which would give rise to the revolutionary upheavals of a few years later.

Between hidden feelings and revealed truths, this comedy takes us on a whirlwind of emotions and twists and turns.
