The story unfolds on the waves. The war cruiser Le Montesquieu receives an unexpected visit from the High Commissioner of the Republic, Puy Pradal, accompanied by his parliamentary attaché, his daughter Béatrice. Of course, the ever-teasing Fate turns life on the boat upside down just as much as it does for these newcomers. While Beatrice's heart sways between two sailors, Puy Pradal's falls under the spell of Sola Myrrhis, a cabaret actress in Cairo. An expedition that won't be easy!
At the height of his fame, André Messager, aged 75, composed his last opus, a whimsical adaptation of Maurice Larrouy?s novel, starring Raimu in the title role. Les Frivolités Parisiennes, who have already won acclaim at home with Normandie and the musical Cole Porter in Paris, bring us an event as joyous as it is unmissable!
