Théâtre - Marionnettes : Les Vagues
Show No.
About
a poetic, modern work published in 1931, Virginia Woolf?s The Waves breaks with the codes of the traditional novel: the author presents six stories by six different protagonists, like so many pieces of a puzzle to be pieced together in order to uncover its meaning. Set in a marine universe, Élise Vigneron and her human-sized ice puppets, manipulated by six actors, convey the essence of the text with finesse and elegance. Les Vagues lulls us, loses us and questions us about metamorphosis and the fragility of human beings. Just as the puppets melt and break, the show presents changing, sensitive and lively tableaux, like the sea and the stories it carries.
