The Musée de Picardie

This little provincial Louvre has nothing to envy the giants of Paris!
Built between 1855 and 1867 under the reign of Napoleon III, the Musée de Picardie was the first building in France to be specifically designed as a fine arts museum.

The Musée de Picardie takes you on a journey through time and the arts, from prehistory to the present day, with its rich collections of archaeology, medieval art, sculpture and painting.
