Louvencourt British War Cemetery was one of the first cemeteries to be erected by the Imperial War Graves Commission, in 1914.
Trapezoidal in shape, the cemetery contains the headstones of 227 First World War servicemen: 151 Commonwealth and 76 French. It is enclosed by a Portland stone wall. Access is via a staircase. The French headstones are made of stone and decorated with a carved Adrian helmet, which differs from the usual design of headstones in French military necropolises.
