20 years ago, French drummer Edward Perraud, German saxophonist Daniel Erdmann and Danish guitarist Hasse Poulsen joined forces to form Das Kapital. Over the years, the most European trio on the jazz scene has confirmed its creative originality, tackling the repertoire of Hans Heisler, French music from the Baroque era to Claude François, and the unbridled jazz of the freest clubs. An album of improvisations, of "spontaneous compositions" as they like to describe them, was the perfect way to mark their anniversary. Recorded in Amiens, under the Label Bleu banner, this new repertoire is an ode to the freedom of creating and listening.
