The Château de Canaples was built at the end of the 19th century by Mr. Amédée HORDEQUIN, a pharmacist, who made his fortune with the exploitation of phosphate from the subsoil of the neighboring village of Beauval.
It is the work of Anatole BIENAIME, architect in Amiens and Paris-Plage, built in a neo-Renaissance style, in Savonnières stone, in an English-style park of 5 hectares.
In the east wing, a winter garden was built in the art nouveau style under the direction of Aimé DELARUE, architect, with a glass roof by Gaétan JEANNIN.
The castle, the entrance gate, the park and the outbuildings were listed as historical monuments in May 2013.
