Danse : Tout-moun

"Tout-moun" is the Creole word for everyone.
It's also a term used to evoke the interpretation of cultures and imaginaries by novelist, poet and philosopher Édouard Glissant, whose concept has given our highlight its name. This piece explores the unpredictable results of bringing several cultures into contact.
Ten dancers embody the power of dissimilarity, their bodies in dialogue with recordings by Edouard Glissant and jazz and blues notes by saxophonist Raphaël Imbert. Against a backdrop of video landscapes evoking water, wind and vegetation, the stage is gradually submerged by lush backdrops where a whole moun seems to be invented before our very eyes.
