DANSE : EXIT ABOVE | Après la tempête
Show No.
About
Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, Meskerem Mees, Jean-Marie Aerts, Carlos Garbin / Rosas
Belgian choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker offers a flamboyant ode to youth!
EXIT ABOVE is a departure from the constraints and duties of the past, and takes us back to the roots of Western pop, based on the song Walking Blues by African-American bluesman Robert Johnson.
The choreographer's approach to dance is to return to the roots, to the simplest, most natural of movements: walking, and its imprint on our musical cultures.
Starting with a simple script that conquers time and space with intoxicating originality, this demonstration of strength rubs shoulders with the styles of house and hip-hop in a show that is superb in every way.
