Danse : étrangler le temps
Show No.
About
In homage to Bolero 2, which they created with Odile Duboc, Boris Charmatz and Emmanuelle Huynh freely revisit the choreography from their memories. This reinterpretation is influenced by Tatsumi Hijikata?s phrase "I wanted to strangle time" and Maurice Ravel?s distended music.
This slow choreography preserves the sensitive nuances of the duet. Slowed down three times, it emphasizes every detail, every muscle tension, every breath of the duo. The wavering between each movement leaves room for improvisation to find a perfect balance in a stretched dance where every gesture is expressive.
